Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed B.Sc (P.T) or B.P.T.
degree from Rajiv Gandhi University or any other
University in India or abroad recognized as equivalent
by RGUHS with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate
are eligible.
Obtaining
Eligibility Certificates:
No candidates shall be admitted for the Post
graduate degree course unless the candidates has
obtained and produced the eligibility certificate
issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
Karnataka. The candidate has to make the application
to the university with the following documents
along with the prescribed fee.
1. B.P.T. or B.Sc. (P.T) provisional / degree
certificate issued by the respective university.
2. Marks cards of all the university examination
passed.
3. Proof of SC/ST or category–I as the case
may be
Candidates should obtain the eligibility certificate
before seeking for the admission.

Duration
of the Course:–
The duration of the course shall be extended
over a period of two continuous years on a full
time basis. Any break in the career, power of
extension of the course and the fixation of the
term shall be rested with the university.
Medium
of Institution:–
English will be the medium of instruction for
the subjects of study and for the examination
of M.P.T. Course.
Elective
Subjects:–
The candidate can select any one as their elective
subject.
a) Physiotherapy in Neurological and Psychosomatic
disorders.
b) Physiotherapy in Musculo–skeletal disorder
and sports physiotherapy.
c) Physiotherapy in Cardio respiratory disorders
and Intensive care.
d) Community physiotherapy and Community Based
Rehabilitation (CBR).
e) Pediatric physiotherapy.

Synopsis:–
All candidates those who have joined for Post
graduate programme has to submit their synopsis
with in 3 months after joining the course.
Dissertation:–
All the candidates have to submit 6 copies of
their dissertation in II Year of the course as
per the time prescribed by the University.
Schedule
of Examination:--
The examination for MPT course shall be held
at the end of two academic years (4 academic terms).
The university shall conduct two examinations
in a year at an interval of 4-6 months between
2 examinations. Not more than 2 examinations shall
be conducted in an academic year.

Scheme
of Examination:--
Written Examination (Theory)
A written examination consisting of 4 question
papers, each of three duration and each paper
carrying 100 marks. Recent advances in physiotherapy
may be asked in any or all the 4 papers.
The paper 4 will be elective subject in the branch
chosen by candidates.
